Vermont!

We are heading to Vermont on Friday morning. It's goin to be crazy! We just had another girl sign up for the whole summer so now we have 10 full timers, 11 for the Vermont trip in a 12 passenger van.

We will be staying in a 10,000 sq ft house in Binghamton, Vermont. This guy lives there and he has no kids or a wife and has committed his house to doing ministry. A house church meets there, several retreats and conferences are held there and its a great oasis.

Our work there is to be of service to him in getting the house in shape. We'll be painting, weeding, constructing, etc etc. It will probably be a lot of hard work but I'm excited because we've been sitting in this church for the last 3 weeks and I can't wait to get moving again.

When we get back in Albany on July 3rd we'll have the 4th off and will go to the Hudson river and watch fireworks. Then we'll be helping the church get ready for feeding the children which starts on July 6th.

Our particular job will be to wake up early and get to the feeding center around 7:30am and start making the lunches. Then at noon we'll pack the ambulance and 3 other trucks full of food and head out to parks and neighborhoods to hand out the food. The ambo has a PA system to announce in the streets that food is here "Come and get it"!

I can't wait to play w/ the kids and minister to them. Its going to be Poppin!

I'll leave you with a thought we downloaded today in class.

Endure the trials in your life because they are what launch you into your destiny.

"Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that sffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character, and character, hope and hope does not dissappoint us because God has poured out his love into hearts by the Holy Spirit." Romans 5:3-5
