Serving in love

Today we served a lady in Vermont. She was a fragile lady with the heart of an angel. We built her 5 shelves that are self standing (not attached to the wall). She made us lunch and her daughter came too. We pulled weeds as big as bushes in her backyard. We had a huge pile of weeds at the end of the day and some great shelves that held all of her stuff and more!

I started reading the book The Inward Journey by Gene Edwards its about the Road to Transformation. It talks about how we have an inward being and an outward being. Our inward being is our Spiritual realm, where Christ resides. Our outward being is our emotions, will, and intellect. Those 3 things will make a God-like being in you that tells you that God is boxable, sweet, definable. But what we have to do is move our outer being out of the way and listen to our inward being. Only God can transform us, not our knowledge, our ambitions, nor our compassion. We have to let God work inside of us, unfortunately or fortunately (however you look at it) the way God does that is through our sufferings. We have to go through bad times to grow stronger and closer to Him.

Last thought: Rose petals falling on a rock doesn't make it a precious stone. Constant joy never produced a transformed heart.

Love you BIG,
H
